On the morning of December 19, the third general meeting of Hubei Animation Association in 2020 and the professional development seminar of animation and digital media under the background of new liberal arts were held in Hubei University of technology. Universities, enterprises and experts from all over the country are invited to discuss the professional development of animation and digital media. President Gu Chen and deputy director of animation department Shu MuQing were invited to attend the meeting.

The special guests of the conference share their experiences with the members in their respective fields. Mr. Li Zhongqiu, vice chairman of the International Animation Association (ASIFA) and Secretary General of the Chinese branch of the International Animation Association, introduced the animation discipline concept of Pan animation to the guests. Ms. Peng Aiqun, deputy director of Hunan Jinying cartoon channel, explained the development mode of children's IP industry combined with TV children's animation. Mr. Wang Huaqiang, deputy director of Shanghai art film studio, explains the development direction of Chinese animation from the perspective of historical development. Yang Jianhua, Dean of the school of media, Qingdao University of science and technology, discusses the development mode of animation major in combination with the international school running concept.

The conference lasted for three hours. It deeply discussed the development direction of animation and digital media major under the new liberal arts, and pointed out the direction for the development of animation and digital media major in our college.
