On June 5, the teachers and students of Confucius Institute of Montgomery Auburn University came to our institute to exchange and study. Chen Yi, dean, taught the basic skills of Chinese painting to the teachers and students of Confucius Institute.
From the origin of the development of Chinese painting, the main characteristics and the basic knowledge of appreciating Chinese painting, Dean Chen has been widely praised by Confucius Institute teachers and students. President Chen pointed out that Chinese painting is an important carrier of Chinese traditional culture, and the artistic conception of pen and ink is the soul of Chinese painting. Through contact, understanding and learning of Chinese painting, foreign friends can appreciate the charm of Chinese traditional culture in the process of appreciating beauty.
Dean Chen demonstrated the basic strokes and techniques of Chinese painting through Qi Baishi's works of Chinese painting, and guided the students to interpret the profound implication of Chinese culture through Chinese traditional art techniques.
The teachers and students of the Confucius Institute listened with great interest to the explanation of Dean Chen, excited by the unique charm of Chinese painting, and under the guidance of Dean Chen, they created creative, cross-cultural works with plush brushes. Then they asked President Chen to write for their work and hope to learn more about Chinese calligraphy and painting in the future.

It also laid a foundation for further expansion of exchanges and cooperation between the two schools in areas such as culture and art.
