News from this website (Correspondent: Zhang Yang) - From November 25th to 26th, 2023, the 9th Annual China Habitat Environmental Design Education Conference was held at Wuhan University. Leaders, experts, and scholars from universities across the country attended the conference to collectively participate in discussions and exchanges centered around the theme of Ambiguity in Space. Deputy Dean Zhang Yang from our College was honored with an invitation to join the conference.
The education conference featured nine experts delivering keynote speeches on various aspects, including the current status, issues, and strategies of urban construction, key points, challenges, and pathways for reforming talent cultivation models, as well as practical experiences and explorations in design education. Following the keynote speeches, participants engaged in mutual exchanges, exploring the characteristics of urban design ambiguity in the context of development in the new era. They discussed the implementation pathways for cultivating interdisciplinary design talents, deliberated on constructing design thinking beyond forms, and collectively discussed educational practices in urban design, architectural design, landscape design, and interior design.
During the interactive session, Deputy Dean Zhang Yang, in conjunction with the exploration of the New Finance and Economics reform at Hubei University of Economics, shared our college's considerations and practices in disciplines, professional development, talent cultivation, and social services with the esteemed guests. Zhang sincerely invited the experts to provide more guidance and support for our college's construction, development, and reform and innovation.
