Our College's Work "Xiao Ting" Nominated for the Ninth Golden Swallow Cross-Strait Microfilm and Micro Video Competition

News from this website (Correspondent Qin Jian)- On November 17, 2023, the award ceremony for the ninth Golden Swallow Cross-Strait Microfilm and Micro Video Competition was held at our university. The work Xiao Ting by our faculty and student team was nominated.

The theme of this competition is Fireworks and Crossing, symbolizing the joint efforts of young friends from both sides of the strait to create a beautiful future. Since the launch of the competition in June of this year, more than 300 entries have been submitted by students, teachers, and microfilm enthusiasts from both sides of the strait. After the evaluation, 30 films were selected for the final competition.

Our faculty and student team used the Sunshine Art and Bai Social Practice Team as a prototype and focused on the theme of Art + Teaching Assistance for shooting in Enshi. The short film documented the emotional journey of Taiwan university students participating in summer teaching support. Through delicate emotional expressions and different angles in the ending, the film presented viewers with a unique psychological understanding.

The team's nomination in this microfilm and micro video competition is attributed to the university's commitment to the clear orientation of Rooted in the Red Soil, Art Serving the People. The university actively explores long-term mechanisms for social practice and is dedicated to providing a practical platform for students. Benefiting from the joint efforts of professional teachers and excellent alumni resources in platform construction, the university is committed to offering students a more diverse range of practical experiences. This not only guides students to be educated, competent, and contribute in social practices but also expands the expression forms and output mediums of the profession.
