On May 12-14, 2024, the 16th Logistics Industry University Research Integration Work Conference was successfully concluded. This conference is hosted by the China Logistics Society and the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, and hosted by the Yangzhou Development and Reform Commission and the Jiangsu Logistics Industry Promotion Association. More than 700 representatives from 29 provinces, regions, and cities across the country gathered to discuss cutting-edge topics in the logistics field and new ideas for integrating industry, academia, and research. Professor Leng Kaijun, Dean of the Business School at Hubei University of Economics, attended the meeting as an Executive Director of the China Logistics Association.
During the meeting, Dean Leng Kaijun had in-depth exchanges and discussions with members of the Logistics Management and Engineering Education Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education, professional leaders of various universities, and leaders of key logistics enterprises. They jointly analyzed the challenges and opportunities faced by the current logistics industry, as well as how to promote high-quality development of the logistics industry through the combination of industry, academia, and research. The conference focused on innovation and development in the logistics field, emphasizing the importance of government industry academia research innovation entities, as well as the necessity of building innovation platforms, integrating innovation resources, and promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. This meeting also held discussions on the innovation and practice of the public water transfer business model, as well as exchanges on the practice and application of digital logistics and supply chain politics, industry, academia, and research, providing new ideas and solutions for the innovation and development of the logistics industry. This conference not only provides a platform for the School of Business Administration of Hubei University of Economics to showcase its scientific research achievements and teaching strength, but also opens up new channels for future industry university research cooperation.
