On September 9-11, 2024, the "2024 5th China Supply Chain Management Annual Conference" hosted by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (referred to as China IoT) was held at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center in Fujian Province. The conference is themed "Empowering New Quality and Winning the Future with Chains" and is organized by the Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Professional Committee of China IoT. It is co organized by the Logistics Information Service Platform Branch, Bulk Commodity Trading Market Circulation Branch, China Market Magazine, Green Supply Chain Branch of China Material Recycling Association, Beijing Institute of Materials Science and Technology, China IoT Modern Supply Chain Research Institute, Xiamen Jianfa Co., Ltd., Xiamen Guomao Group Co., Ltd., and Xiamen Xiangyu Co., Ltd.

This conference was held through a combination of online and offline methods, bringing together government decision-makers, academic elites, research institution experts, as well as senior representatives of procurement and supply chain management departments from over 370 enterprises, industry authorities, and media friends. Nearly 2000 guests attended the conference to deeply reflect and engage in intense discussions on the new situation, new ideas, and new methods in the current supply chain field, promoting the sustainable development and transformation of supply chain management, and gathering a strong intellectual force to promote industry progress. Dean Leng Kaijun attended the conference and participated in the discussion work of the "Supply Chain Management Discipline Construction and Talent Training Forum".

The opening ceremony was presided over by Ren Haoxiang, Vice President of the China Federation of Things. Li Gang, Director of the Circulation Development Department of the Ministry of Commerce, Huang Yantian, member of the Standing Committee of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor, and Cai Jin, Vice President of the China Federation of Things, attended the conference and delivered opening speeches. Chris Oanda, Chairman of the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM), congratulated the conference via video. At the opening ceremony of the annual meeting, the "National Supply Chain Innovation and Application Development Report (2024)", "2024 National Supply Chain Innovation and Application Typical Cases", "China Supply Chain Development Report (2023-2024)" and the "Top 50 China Supply Chain" evaluation system were released with great weight.
