On October 11-12, 2024,Wang Longchu, President of the Council of Xiamen Enterprise and Entrepreneur Federation and Chief Expert of Hubei Province Supply Chain Logistics System Special Team, led an expert group to Xiaogan to conduct research activities on the construction of a Hubei characteristic agricultural product supply chain platform in Shouhengcheng. Dean Professor Leng Kaijun participated in this event as a member of the expert group.
The expert group conducted on-site research on the operation of Shouhengcheng, the construction of the second phase project, the sales and services of the fruit and vegetable sector, e-commerce live streaming, and the entry of Hubei Agricultural Special Pavilion products, to understand the work ideas, preliminary exploration, and next steps of Xiaogan City in building a Hubei characteristic agricultural product supply chain platform. Since its opening, Shouhengcheng has consistently ranked first in daily trading volume and second in central China. Currently, it has established partnerships with Hubei Agricultural Development Group, Hubei Joint Investment Group, and Xinjiang Zhongxin Construction Company, and Chuheng Supply Chain Operation Company has been officially listed.
Wang Longchu believes that Hubei has abundant agricultural resources and superior location and transportation, which provide many favorable conditions for building a unique agricultural product supply chain platform. Under the strong leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, Xiaogan fully leveraged the advantages of Shouhengcheng, vigorously promoted platform construction in accordance with the requirements of publicness, inclusiveness, openness, and sharing, and achieved positive results. We must continue to do a good job in service guarantee, construct and operate the Shouhengcheng project well, and achieve stable and long-term development. We should actively connect with the Hubei Supply Chain Logistics Public Information Platform, guide service providers to go up the chain and use the chain, consolidate the platform's logistics foundation, and promote the integration of "four flows". We need to increase platform openness, integrate more state-owned and private enterprises, gather various resource elements, and continuously improve resource integration capabilities. We need to deeply explore the model of linking agriculture with agriculture to enrich farmers, guided by demand, and adjust agricultural production towards high added value and marketability, and do a good job in promoting the construction of a national high-quality agricultural product production zone in Hubei Province.
Hu Jiuming, Secretary of the Xiaogan Municipal Party Committee, expressed sincere gratitude to the expert group for providing guidance and support for Xiaogan's work. He said that under the strong leadership of the provincial party committee and government and the careful guidance of the expert group, Xiaogan's idea of building a provincial-level characteristic agricultural product supply chain platform has become increasingly clear, full of confidence and determination. The next step will highlight functionality, focusing on five aspects: effective relief function, "dual-use of relief and emergency" to ensure supply, linking agriculture with agriculture to enrich farmers, facilitating international and domestic circulation, and promoting rural revitalization, to give full play to the role of functional platforms. Adhere to the Internet thinking and supply chain thinking, expand the breadth and depth of platform services, base on the supply chain, reshape the industrial chain, and enhance the value chain. We will focus on building a new type of productive service system, a modern industrial system, and a high standard market system, providing more opportunities and conditions for the development of various business entities. Enhance the integration level of the "four networks" and achieve efficient connectivity of commercial flow, logistics, information flow, and capital flow. I hope the expert group will increase its guidance on filial piety and provide strong intellectual support for the platform construction.
During the filial piety period, the expert group also conducted research on enterprises such as Tianjiao Weipin, Weida Paper, Huagong Gaoli, Wanshan Special Car, as well as the Gaochuang Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, to understand the development of leading industries in Xiaogan City.
