We participated in the 2024 Teaching Annual Conference of the Chinese Higher Education Market Research Association



From November 22nd to 24th, the 2024 Teaching Annual Conference and Marketing Development Forum of the Chinese Higher Education Market Research Association was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The theme of the annual meeting is "Cultivating New Quality Talents: The New Mission of Market Science Construction in the Era of Digital Intelligence". More than 400 marketing professionals, backbone teachers, and industry experts from 171 universities and research institutions attended the conference. The conference focused on the topic of new quality talents in marketing in the era of digital intelligence, and deeply explored topics such as teacher training, teaching design, teaching materials and case development, and industry university research integration in marketing under digital transformation. Together, they discussed issues related to the cultivation of new quality talents and the development of marketing in the context of the digital intelligence era, shared teaching experience, and jointly promoted the construction of marketing majors nationwide. Vice President Ye Min of our hospital attended the meeting.


The agenda of this forum includes the opening ceremony theme report, 10 sub forums on different themes, and teacher training. The opening ceremony was jointly held and speeches were delivered by leaders from the Chinese Higher Education Market Research Association and Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics. In his speech, Professor Wang Tao reviewed the development process of the Chinese Higher Education Marketing Research Association and its annual teaching conference, and analyzed the key challenges faced by marketing from the perspectives of technology and society. He stated that the Chinese Higher Education Marketing Research Association will shoulder the responsibility of constructing and deepening the basic concepts and theoretical framework of marketing, and undertake the social responsibility of conveying accurate marketing information to society. Dong Jincai introduced the development of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics and its marketing major, emphasizing the importance of cultivating digital marketing talents with humanistic spirit, scientific literacy, and mastery of modern marketing theories and methods.


In the keynote speech segment, Professor Wang Yonggui from Zhejiang University of Technology and Business, Professor Yang Zhilin from City University of Hong Kong, Professor Chen Zhangwang from the Institute of Civil Construction Economics at Fuzhou University, Professor Yang Hongtao from the School of Business Administration at Huaqiao University, and Professor Huang Minxue from the School of Economics and Management at Wuhan University gave wonderful presentations on topics such as reshaping the marketing major and building excellent teaching materials, empowering marketing teaching with big language models, and designing a multimodal teaching platform for marketing in the digital age.


During the conference, ten sub forums were simultaneously held around the development of marketing disciplines, curriculum teaching, and talent cultivation, and a special teacher training session was set up to discuss national project applications, textbook and case development, teaching design, curriculum ideological and political education, and teaching achievements. More than 400 experts, scholars, and industry elites gathered together from universities such as Peking University, Central University of Finance and Economics, Southwest Jiaotong University, Northeast University of Finance and Economics, as well as enterprises such as FAW Hongqi Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Wuyou Media.


After the defense process and competition with two other universities, as well as discussions at the President's Meeting, our university has finally obtained the hosting rights for the 2025 Teaching Annual Conference of the Chinese Higher Education Marketing Research Association. This will be of great significance for promoting the development of our School of Business Administration, building a first-class marketing major, and talent cultivation, and enhancing the visibility and reputation of our university.
