The College of Business Administration held online conference on teaching and students affairs, and scientific research

On April 16th, the College of Business Administration held an online conference on teaching and students affairs, and scientific research. Party and administrative leaders, deans of departments and all administrative staff attended the conference. Party Secretary Cao Lihe presided over the conference.

Ye Min circulated the contents of the university’ teaching conference, summarized the teaching work at the preceding stage, made arrangements for the work at the next stage, and explained the 20 key points of the 2020 Work Plan developed by the Academic Affairs Office.

Vice Principal Leng Kaijun circulated the problems that emerged in the recent national natural science project application, explained the policies concerning national social science project application and provincial social science achievement award, and reminded all departments to make preparations for the follow-up provincial and ministerial project application.

Party secretary Cao Lihe explained the general idea of student work this year, namely one main line, two centers, three major tasks and four promotions, and made arrangements for graduates employment and entrepreneurship, online teaching supervision, students' situation assessment, preparation for students’ returning to school, ideological and political work during the pandemic, management of key students, implementation of counselors' direct responsibility system, and safety education.

Executive vice principal Dai Huayong stressed in his summary that the work of the college this semester should be consistent with that of the university; teaching quality should be promoted; priority should be given to graduate employment and entrepreneurship, application for more degree conferring programs, talent introduction, PI team building, and intensive construction of specialties. He stressed that sound plans should be made for the work that needs to be planned and prepared in advance to ensure that the tasks would be accomplished.

Principal Ma Shihua pointed out that after the conference, all deans should hold meetings in their own departments to circulate the contents of the conference. He said that at the time when pandemic prevention and control were normalized, all departments should continue to do their best to promote department development and implement the instructions of the university leaders. He said that the pandemic would have an all-round and long-term influence over the development of teaching and scientific research, so all teachers should seize opportunities, think about how to solve emerging problems, and conduct scientific research focusing on the impact of the pandemic. Finally, he added that all the staff should fulfill their job responsibilities and ensure that all their tasks were carried out.

At the conference, the person concerned circulated the situations of students, faculty and other staff during pandemic prevention and control.
