Make careful preparation for graduates’ returning to school
During the pandemic, great importance should be attached to pandemic prevention and control while welcoming graduates returning to school. So the college has made careful preparation and implemented all measures strictly. On June 1st, deputy Party secretary Li Yong and all the counselors of the college attended the training conference on the management system for students returning to school. After the conference, the college held a meeting on the work of graduates’ returning to school. Party secretary Cao Lihe and deputy principal Dai Huayong put forward requirements for graduate’s returning to school at the meeting. On June 4th, the College of Business Administration issued the arrangement notice of Class-2020 graduates’ returning to school and made careful arrangements for the time of returning to school and the handling of various affairs after graduates’ returning to school. On June 5th, advisors of graduating classes instructed graduates to submit the application for returning to school in the pandemic management system. On June 12th, deputy Party secretary Li Yong participated in the drill for graduates’ returning to school. On June 17 -18, all counselors bagged graduation certificates, degree certificates and other graduation documentations. On June 19th, all graduating classes held graduation-themed class meetings. At this point, all preparations for graduates’ returning to school have been completed and the whole college is waiting for Class-2020 graduates to return home.
Graduates return to school smoothly and in an orderly manner
Based on the principle of staggered and voluntary returning to school” and according to graduates’ current residence, working conditions and requirements for accommodation, the college required that all graduates return to school in four batches. According to the requirements of the college, procedures of graduates’ leaving the school will be handled in the University Student Activity Center. Four counselors are responsible for distributing graduation materials; one counselor is responsible for handling graduation procedures; and three counselors are responsible for handling students' dormitory check-out and some emergency affairs. All advisors of graduating classes distribute graduation materials in graduates’ dormitories and offer assistance there. During graduates’ returning to school, the deputy Party secretary, counselors and class advisors checked graduates’ dormitories in the morning and evening to solve their problems on the spot. All the work related to graduates’ returning to school was carried out in an orderly way, and was highly recognized by graduates.
Care from leaders guides graduates’ future
During graduates’ returning to school, the college leaders inspected the graduation materials distribution points and graduates’ dormitories to give instructions, take group photos with graduates, offered graduates solicitous advice, and lifted the spirit of all the faculty. On June 20th, Party secretary of the University Wen Xingsheng inspected the graduation materials distribution point. He was briefed on the situations of graduates’ returning to school and spoke highly of the college’s preparatory work in the early stage of graduates’ returning to school. He hoped that the teachers would provide better services for graduates and do everything better. Yu Chonghao and Wu Fangshuai of Class Q1642 of the Logistics Department were two of the first batch of graduates returning to school. President of the University Dong Shijie asked them about their study, life and work situations, turned the tassel for them and took group photos with them despite the rain. The two students said that they would bear in mind the advice of the school leaders, work harder, and spread the spirit of Hubei University of Economics further.
