On November 27, 2025, the sixth session of the campus event for entrepreneurs (executives) in our hospital invited Minister Yuan Yu, the head of the logistics management center of China National Pharmaceutical Group Hubei Co., Ltd., to give a special lecture on the theme of "integrating cold chain pharmaceutical logistics to enhance the efficiency of the pharmaceutical supply chain". Deepening school enterprise cooperation and assisting students in understanding the development trends of the pharmaceutical supply chain industry has brought about a sharing that combines industry depth and practical value.
In the lecture, Minister Yuan analyzed the current situation of cold chain pharmaceutical logistics and systematically summarized the development characteristics of the industry in basic links such as cold storage construction, refrigerated vehicle performance, insulation packaging application, and information monitoring system. He pointed out in depth the existing problems such as high logistics costs, insufficient delivery timeliness, poor information circulation, quality control loopholes, and deviation from regulatory standards. He emphasized the core significance of resource integration in ensuring drug quality and safety, reducing logistics costs, improving customer satisfaction, and enhancing enterprise competitiveness.
In the implementation section of cold chain logistics integration strategy, Yuan Yu elaborated on multidimensional resource integration measures such as warehouse unified planning, optimized configuration of transportation vehicles, integration and sharing of information systems, and integration of human resources, with a focus on specific methods for optimizing inventory management, transportation resource management, and improving service awareness. Based on the practical case of China National Pharmaceutical Group in Hubei, he demonstrated the "1+4+2+N" provincial logistics network formed by the integration of storage resources in the province, as well as the advantages of national trunk transportation originating from Wuhan. Through KPI data such as order timeliness and loading rate in each province, he intuitively presented the efficiency improvement results of logistics integration. At the same time, he introduced the digital application practice of information resource integration in warehouse temperature and humidity monitoring, special medicine security and other scenarios.
In response to the future development trends of the industry, Minister Yuan analyzed the opportunities and challenges brought by the development of e-commerce and pharmaceuticals, aging population, upgrading of precision temperature control technology, and personalized medical needs. Based on the characteristics of the student population, he explored their participation paths in technological innovation, innovation and entrepreneurship directions, as well as the importance of cultivating abilities and continuous learning to cope with industry changes. He encouraged students to actively engage in scientific research and practice, and contribute to the development of the cold chain pharmaceutical logistics industry.
This lecture has built a bridge for communication between schools and enterprises, allowing our teachers and students to closely understand the cutting-edge dynamics and practical points of the pharmaceutical cold chain logistics industry. It not only broadens their professional horizons, but also provides valuable ideas for career planning and innovation and entrepreneurship for students in related majors.
