The 14th "China Management Case Academic Annual Conference" was held in Wuhan from April 22 to 23, 2023, under the guidance of the National Guidance Committee for Graduate Education in Business Administration, jointly organized by the Management Case Study Professional Committee of the China Management Modernization Research Association and the China Management Case Sharing Center, and organized by the School of Management at Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the China Management Practice Research Institute. The theme of this academic annual conference is "Management Theory of Chinese Enterprises in the Era of Digital Intelligence", which includes invited reports, parallel forum themed reports, and on-site reviews. Our school's teachers Zhu Miao, Sun Fang, and graduate student Bai Yujuan attended this meeting.
On the morning of April 22nd, 2023, Professor Xu Xiaodong, Vice President of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Professor Zhao Shuming, Vice Chairman of the China Management Modernization Research Association, Director Wang Ping of the Secretariat Office of the National MBA Education Commission, Professor Zhu Fangwei, Vice President of Dalian University of Technology, and Professor Yang Zhi, Dean of the School of Management of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, respectively delivered opening speeches. Professor Wu Xiaobo, Director of the Department of Social Sciences at Zhejiang University, Mr. Li Yeqing, President of Huaxin Cement Co., Ltd., and Professor Su Jingqin, Dean of the Platform Governance Research Institute at Dalian University of Technology, respectively gave keynote speeches on "Insight into Key Projects of National Hundred Excellent Management Cases", "The Development and Transformation Road of Traditional Chinese Enterprises", and "The Mechanism and Path of Case Studies Supporting the Chinese School of Management". The conference also held exchange and interaction sessions such as "face-to-face management cases" and "dialogue with the editor in chief of management journals".
On the afternoon of April 22nd, 2023, the conference set up five parallel forums for teaching case discussions, covering topics such as "Research Methodology Exchange", "Case Teaching Research and Method Exchange", "Case Study on Enterprise/Entrepreneur Management Thought Interpretation", and "How Cases Empower Social Development in the Digital Intelligence Era". Experts from various parallel forums had interactive exchanges with scholars participating in the report.
On the morning of April 23rd, 2023, Professor Yang Zhi, Dean of the School of Management at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Professor Song Hua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Business at Renmin University of China, and Professor Jing Runtian, Vice Dean of the Antai School of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, shared keynote speeches on "Conducting Influential Case Studies - Current Situation, Problems, and Future Directions", "How Digital Technology Promotes the Development of Low Carbon Supply Chains", and "Exploring the Theoretical Stories Behind From 1 to N".
By participating in this annual conference forum, we have promoted communication and exchange between our faculty and domestic peers, deepened our understanding of case development and teaching, broadened our academic perspective, improved our ability to write and teach cases, and laid a solid foundation for better case studies in the future.
