On June 15th, the 2023 Best Chinese Universities Ranking was officially released, targeting a total of 598 majors with no less than 4 universities. Each major ranked in the top 50% of universities, with a total of 30772 major points from 1076 universities on the list. The six majors currently offered by the School of Business Administration of Hubei University of Economics have all entered the list, with two national first-class professional construction sites, Marketing and Logistics Management, entering the B+rating.

The majors listed in the 2023 Best Chinese Universities Ranking are based on the majors listed in the "Catalogue of Undergraduate Majors in Ordinary Higher Education Institutions (April 2023)" by the Ministry of Education. Under each major, the ranking targets ordinary universities that offer that major and have undergraduate graduates at the school level in 2021. The University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and military academies have not been included in the ranking due to special circumstances. The specialty points that the school has announced the suspension of enrollment and has not recruited students since then have not been included in the ranking, and the newly added specialty points in 2022 have not been included in the ranking.

The evaluation system consists of five indicator categories: school conditions, subject support, professional student sources, professional employment, and professional conditions, with 25 measurement indicators under it. In the vast majority of majors, the weights of the five indicator categories are school conditions (10), subject support (20), professional student source (20), professional employment (5), and professional conditions (0-35).
