Marketing Management Department teachers participated in the 2018 Academic Annual Meeting of Hubei Marketing Association.



On November 3, the 2018 Academic Annual Meeting of the Marketing Association of Hubei Province was held in the Chongshi Hall of Wuhan University of Science and Technology. The annual meeting was hosted by the Marketing Society of Hubei Province and organized by the Hengda School of Management of Wuhan University of Science and Technology. 350 representatives from universities and enterprises from all over the province attended the annual conference. The teachers of the Marketing Department of our school attended the meeting under the leadership of Professor Li, Associate Dean of the School of Business and Technology, and Professor Wang, Dean of the Law&Business College of Hubei Univercity of ecnomics.

     Yu Jie, director of the Hubei Provincial Civil Affairs Department, Wen Rong, director of the Hubei Provincial Social Science Association, Wang Tao, president of the Marketing Association of Hubei Province, Gan Biqun, consultant of the Society, Feng Zheng, vice president of Wuhan University of Science and Technology, vice president of the society, Chang Yaping, Zhang Guangling, Chen Tao, Li Chongguang, Yan Liang, Ning Changhui, Zhang Bangguo, Yang Limao, Liu Mingfei, Wang Hong, Li Yuqiang, Director of Internet of Things, China Telecom Internet of Things Branch, Zhao Changxu, Chairman of Ouye Yunshang Co., Ltd., Zeng Liang, Assistant General Manager of China UnionPay Hubei Branch Wang Yingxiang, Captain of Big Data Partner of Yonghui Cloud Technology Co., Ltd., Assistant to President of CITIC Special Steel, Liu Wenxue, General Manager of Purchasing Company, and Deng Xudong, Dean of Evergrande School of Management, attended the meeting.

     Feng Zheng, vice president of Wuhan University of Science and Technology, delivered an opening speech and expressed warm welcome to the guests present and congratulated the meeting of the Hubei Provincial Marketing Association. He briefly introduced the school from three aspects: the history of the school, the setting of the discipline, and the results of scientific research and teaching. He said that the exchange of the conference is a valuable opportunity and a good platform for in-depth exchanges between the academic and practical circles,which provides an opportunity for mutual learning between universities and enterprises, and he hoped that more sparks would be collided during the conference,so that we could make new and greater contributions to the development of the marketing discipline.

     Gan Biqun, consultant of the Hubei Provincial Marketing Association, delivered a speech. She said that the content of the annual meeting of the Marketing Society has been gradually expanded from academic discussions, business consulting services, corporate issues discussion to teaching research exchange and competition planning. In recent years, the society has gradually begun to pay attention to the impact of the artificial intelligence era on marketing, reflecting the simultaneous development of the marketing society and the times.

     Wang Tao, President of the Marketing Society of Hubei Province, delivered a speech. He first expressed his gratitude to the Hengda School of Management of Wuhan University of Science and Technology for hosting the hard work of the annual meeting. He introduced the paper submission and evaluation of the essays of this annual meeting, and announced the current annual activities of the event.

     After the opening ceremony, Li Yuqiang, Director of the Internet of Things Industry of China Telecom Internet of Things Branch, made a report on “Internet of Everything, Opening a Good Life”, Zhao Changxu, Chairman of Ouye Yunshang Co., Ltd.,made a report on “Transactional Platform, Intelligent Marketing – Based on Ouye Yunshang Steel The New Retail Practice , Zeng Liang, Assistant General Manager of China UnionPay Hubei Branch, made a report on “Payment first to see cloud flash payment – UnionPay marketing actual communication”, and Wang Yingxiang, the captain of big data partner of Yonghui Yunchuang Technology Co., Ltd., made a report on“A case study on the Application of Big data and AI in New Retail" , Liu Wenxue, assistant to the president of China Special Steel and general manager of the procurement company, reported on the Marketing Innovation and Thinking of CITIC Special Steel in the Intelligent Era. In the afternoon, eight group communication reports were held at the Hengda School of Management. The guests participated in a series of academic exchanges and discussions on various marketing research topics.

     The closing ceremony of the academic annual meeting was held at the Chongshi Hall in the afternoon at 4:30 pm. The host of each of the sub-conferences made a concluding speech and reported the exchange of papers in each of the sub-districts. Professor Huang Minxue, the chairman of the Academic Committee of the Marketing Society of Hubei Province, summarized the review work of the paper and announced the winners of the "Xingyu Biqun" paper of the 2018 Conference of the Marketing Association of Hubei Province. The essay received a total of 90 submissions from various universities and won 50 awards. Among them, our department Teacher Wu's essay "Interactivity and self-disclosure on the influence mechanism of social media customer citizenship behavior-based on customer commitment perspective"won the third prize of the excellent papers of the award-winning society.

     Xu lan, Secretary-General of the Marketing Society of Hubei Province, reviewed the work for one year, from the joint meeting of marketing professionals, the 2018 Hubei University Student Marketing Planning Challenge, academic lectures, teaching seminars, the change of the academic work, and the annual meeting of the school yearto sum up. Chen Tao, vice president of the Marketing Society of Hubei Province and professor of Wuhan University of Science and Technology, made a closing speech. He thanked the Marketing Society of Hubei Province for their trust and support to Wuhan University of Science and Technology, the arrival of university teachers at this annual meeting, and the hard work of the teachers and volunteers of the Marketing Department of Hengda Management School,looking forward to the next marketing meeting with everyone. At last,he announced the successful conclusion of the conference.

      Our department teacher has learned a lot of cutting-edge knowledge and thoughts in marketing at this annual meeting, and has a new understanding of the development of marketing in our school. It has a good guide to the training and construction of professional talents in marketingsignificance.
