Professor Shao Shuai from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics came to our school to give a lecture
On the afternoon of April 27th, center invited professor Shao Shuai from Shanghai university of Finance and Economics to give a lecture in our school. Professor Shao Shuai gave an academic lecture entitled "troubles of resource-based economic growth" to teachers and students of our school. The lecture was presided over by Sun Yongping, executive vice director of the center, and attended by all the researchers of the center as well as some teachers and students of the school.
Professor Shao Shuai started from the definition of resource-oriented city, and through the definition of resource-oriented city, the distribution of resource-oriented city, and the problem of resource curse, he led us to understand the symptoms and crux of resource-oriented economic development from an all-round and multi-angle. Professor Shao Shuai then introduced himself for more than 10 years in the research of resource-based economy, through the establishment of mathematical model analysis, multiple regression of deduction and test means, such as identification from the experience of city level transmission mechanism type, the provincial level the experience of the transmission mechanism to identify type, the resource curse transmission mechanism, and natural resources to develop a conceptual model of the impact of regional economic benign operation, the allocation efficiency of economic elements, analysis step by step out of the "resource curse" internal cause and the conduction process. Finally, it concludes that it is the only way for resource-based economy to "survive disaster" to get rid of dependence on resources and make reasonable use of natural resources instead of excessive use of natural resources.
