At 9 a.m. on June 27, 2021, Professor Sun Yongping of Hubei University of Economics, as the chief expert, hosted the inaugural demonstration meeting of the National Social Science Foundation's major project Actively Participate in and Lead International Cooperation Research on Climate Change at Hubei University of Economics.

Wen Xingsheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hubei University of Economics, Liu Aiguo, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department of Hubei Provincial Party Committee, Zuo Ruicheng, Deputy Director of the Theory Division of the Propaganda Department of Hubei Provincial Party Committee, as well as members of major university expert groups, relevant departments, and media reporters attended the demonstration meeting. The meeting was chaired by Lu Xiaocheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Hubei University of Economics.
