On the afternoon of June 3, Professor Jie Zhang, Director of the Master of International Finance Program at the Edinburgh Napier University, UK, was invited to give lectures to undergraduates and postgraduates of our institute. The dean Chuanhua Xu participated in the classroom teaching and had a cordial communication with the students.

Professor Jie Zhang combined with the current problems of China’s financial development, respectively from two aspects:  consequential theories and non-consequential theories, through the case study, it tells the Ethical Theories for the students. She guides the students to analyze the same problem from different angles, so as to get different decision-making plans, and then help to make right decision. This theoretical point of view can help enterprises to change from the maximization of shareholder value to the maximization of stakeholder value. And it brings about a fair distribution of rights and obligations. The students were inspired and benefited a lot from the study in the class.
