(Reporter: Dong Aijing) In order to further mobilize all party members to deeply study and understand the spirit of the 5th Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, encourage party members and cadres to actively participate in the construction of the “14th Five-Year Plan”, fully leverage the strategic role of comprehensive solutions, and deeply enhance the party self-discipline, Mei Hua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, delivered a lecture themed “strictly, comprehensively and practically promote in-depth development of party self-discipline” to all party members of the School of Foreign Languages and the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management on the afternoon of November 5. He Mingxia, Director and Secretary of Party Committee of the School of Foreign Languages, presided over the party class.
From the surface factors to the internal factors, Secretary Mei interpreted and analyzed the connotation of comprehensively and strictly enhancing party self-discipline, the exploratory practices in party building and the in-depth development of party building based on the opportunities brought by the reform. Colleges and universities play a critical role in educating and developing the builders and successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics. As a major part of party building, comprehensively and strictly enhancing party self-discipline is of great significance to building a modern and powerful socialist country with Chinese characteristics.
At last, Secretary Mei emphasized that the party organizations at different levels and all party members need to enhance the “four-awareness”, persist to the “four-confidence”, and achieve the “two-maintenance” under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The Party Committee of the university must conscientiously implement the major responsibilities for comprehensively and strictly enhancing party self-discipline, adhere to the socialist direction of education, regard morality education as a fundamental task, and take practical actions to maintain the authority and central leadership of the CPC Central Committee. The Disciplinary Committee of the University must carefully implement the supervision responsibilities to ensure effective operation of the system, assist the Party Committee to fulfill the major responsibilities, open up the “last mile”, and jointly promote the in-depth development of party self-discipline!
