On the afternoon of January 2, Huang Zhonglian, Second-Level Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, was invited by the School of Foreign Languages to deliver an academic lecture titled “Brief Introduction to Project Declaration” in the Conference Room 522 of the Building of Humanities and Arts. All teachers and students of the School of Foreign Languages attended the lecture hosted by Director He Mingxia.
Prof. Huang Zhonglian made analysis on macroscopic and microscopic perspectives of declaration for projects under the National Social Science Fund in terms of topic selection, study contents, methodology, innovation, expected outcomes and study basis, and demonstrated the declaration skills and precautions in combination with the declaration cases. He emphasized that an excellent project declaration must be simple enough for outsiders and detailed enough for experts. The topic must be eye-catching, unfamiliar and novel. The project argumentation must be scientific in refined languages and elegant formats. During the lecture of nearly three hours, Prof. Huang Zhonglian explained how to write each column of project declaration through interpreting the theories and analyzing the cases in details.
His lecture was so exciting and inspiring, and has expanded the academic visions of teachers on “academic” and “technical” aspects of project declaration based on the novel ideas and strategies.
