According to relevant statistics, very few Chinese universities have never had fires. In colleges and universities where fires occurred, in addition to the destruction of infrastructure such as teaching buildings, laboratories, and dormitories, most of them were accompanied by casualties. These fire incidents not only caused material losses to the school where they belonged, but also caused tragedies of casualties. The lessons of blood have sounded the alarm for the fire protection work in colleges and universities. In order to further strengthen the fire prevention education of our students and strengthen their awareness of fire prevention, on November 14, 2021, each class will use the evening commentary time to organize a winter fire prevention theme class meeting to guide students to be vigilant and obey the rules.
The theme class will be carried out from three aspects. One is to explain relevant knowledge and clarify the harmful behavior; the other is to draw the attention of students to college fire cases and explain the factors that cause school fires, such as accidental use of fire, electrical failure, etc.; 3. Keep in mind the knowledge of fire safety:
Do not pull wires in the dormitory without permission to prevent electric fire;
Do not put the socket on the bed, and do not pass electrical wires under combustible materials such as quilts;
It is forbidden to use induction cookers, electric blankets, hair dryers , electric cups, hand warmers and other electrical equipment in the dormitory;
It is forbidden to use open flames in the dormitory, and do not bring flammable or explosive materials into the dormitory. Smoking, candles, mosquito coils, mosquito repellents, etc. are prohibited in the dormitory;
It is forbidden to burn items in the dormitory;
The indoor lighting should be turned off when people go out, please turn off the electrical power before leaving, including the power on the power strip, and lock the door of the dormitory;
Do not pile up debris on the corridors, do not occupy or block the fire passage;
Take good care of fire-fighting facilities and prohibit moving or embezzling fire-fighting equipment for other purposes.
