President Delegation from Benha University visited

On April 12, Benha University (Egypt) president delegation visited HBUE. The delegation includes the President Ali Mohamed Shamsel Din and Dr. Hazem, the Focal Point for International Program. Qi Laying, the president of HBUE, and He Huigang, the Vice President of our university, warmly welcomed the visiting delegation, and leaders from school International Exchange & Cooperation Department attended the welcome meeting.

  

President Qi first introduced our university from its education history, program setting, faculty team and international communications. He pointed out that the international partners of our university are mainly at western countries, and we plan to gradually explore and expend exchanges and relations with middle-south Asia, west Asia and Arab areas, following the national strategic plan of “One Belt and One Road”. In addition, as a country with both ancient civilization and modern development, Egypt has a great attraction to our faculties and students specially in its rich history and culture. President Qi expressed his strong confidence in future cooperation between two parties.

  

President Ali Mohamed Shamsel Din showed his appreciation to our hospitality, and then introduced Benha University from its location, size, and disciplines. He mentioned many commons that two universities share and encouraged bilateral exchanges in students, faculties and researches.

  

President Qi and President Ali signed the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of each university. Two parties later further discussed details of possible collaboration in post-graduate program, short-term student exchange and faculty and staff communication, and reached a preliminary consensus.
