On October 15, John Inglis, Marketing Director of the International Curriculum Business Department of Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology, New Zealand, and Naiqi Yang, Coordinator of the school's China project, visited our university. Vice President Fu Hong met with them.
Fu Hong extended a warm welcome to John Inglis and his delegation, then introduced the history of our university, competitive disciplines and characteristic specialties, and highlighted the development of interdisciplinary disciplines in the School of Information Engineering of our university. Based on the engineering disciplines of the two universities, Fu Hong hopes to draw on the comprehensive advantages of talents training in overseas universities to lay a foundation for the development of new engineering in our university, carry out intelligent and information-based teaching integrating multiple disciplines, and cultivate talents with international vision and pioneering spirit in the new era.
John Inglis expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and introduced in detail the development process of Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology in New Zealand and the results of cooperation with domestic universities. He believes that Hubei University of Economics is rich in professional disciplines and has a complete talent training system. He hopes to take the cooperation of engineering majors as a starting point to give full play to the characteristics and advantages of the two universities, and carry out closer and deeper exchanges and cooperation.
