On May 16th, Kingmano Phommahaxay , Vice Minister of Education and Sports of Laos, led a delegation to visit our university. Gao Yiyong, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Zhang Zhongmin, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee in our university, met the guests.
Gao Yiyong warmly welcomed the delegation led by Kingmano Phommahaxay and introduced the university's history, predominant disciplines, research and academic activities, as well as social services. He particularly highlighted the university's digital education and the achievements in policy communication and educational connectivity with the countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. Gao Yiyong hoped that both sides would carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as digital education innovation, promotion of Chinese language internationally, and joint cultivation of international students. Through the establishment of a diversified cooperation system, the university would accelerate its internationalization process and write a new chapter for educational and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
Kingmano Phommahaxay expressed his gratitude for the warm reception from our university. He hoped to carry out more extensive cooperation and utilize advanced digital education technologies to achieve the interconnection of high-quality vocational education resources.
After the meeting, Zhang Zhongmin accompanied Kingmano Phommahaxay and his delegation to visit the Experimental Teaching Center and the Chu Cuisine Research Institute.
