On April 12, Hubei global promotion event of the Ministry of foreign affairs was held in Beijing. The theme of the activity is Heroic Hubei: Reborn for New Glories . Wang Yi, State Councilor and foreign minister, attended and delivered a speech. Ying Yong, Secretary of Hubei provincial Party committee and Wang Zhonglin, Secretary of Wuhan Municipal Committee, made a presentation.

Hubei Chu cuisine Research Institute was invited by the Foreign Office of Hubei Provincial Committee to participate in the Hubei Special Cuisine Month event for a month to promote Chu cuisine. Professor Lu Yongliang served as general consultant. Professor Zou Zhiping led the team. Industry Professor Wang Bo and He yuan, Dong Xinzhou and Han Hao from Zou Zhiping National Skill Master Studio participated.

In July, 2018, the first global promotion event of Chu buffet reception was held by Zou Zhiping as the chief chef. This was the first time to introduce Hubei cuisine to the world under the name of Chu cuisine.
