在这春花犹盛、夏荷初开的五月，我们通过线上线下的方式相聚于此，共同举办湖北经济学院跨越发展大会，见证学校组建20周年、办学115周年这一激动人心的历史时刻。今天的经院，山水含情，草木有意，我们以最真挚的感情，向各位领导、各位嘉宾表示最热烈的欢迎！向各位老师、各位同学和未能莅临现场的各位校友致以最亲切的问候！向长期以来关心、支持经院建设与发展的各界朋友致以最衷心的感谢！

落其实者思其树，饮其流者怀其源。二十年前，经教育部和湖北省人民政府批准，原湖北商业高等专科学校、武汉金融高等专科学校、湖北省计划管理干部学院三校，顺应国家高等教育改革发展大势，携手组建湖北经济学院。中国高等学府群里，从此多了一位生机勃发的新成员。追溯起来，湖北经济学院的前身在荆楚大地走过了一个世纪的峥嵘岁月。湖北商业高等专科学校源自湖北商业中学堂，这所1907年由清末重臣张之洞倡办的新式学校，诞生于国家民族危难之际，是我国最早开办现代商科教育的学校之一；武汉金融高等专科学校传承中州农民银行学校红色基因，成立于国家民族奋进之时，新中国成立后作为央行部属院校，成为培养金融人才的摇篮；建于改革开放初期的湖北省计划管理干部学院，是当年全国计划系统唯一的干部学院，在国家民族振兴之日，担负起发改人才培养重任。打开历史画卷，处处镌刻着“筚路蓝缕”的进取精神、“课实报国”的光荣传统。这一传统，绵延不绝，厚植于经院人的血脉之中；这一精神，历久弥新，见诸于经院人的行动之常，始终与国家民族同呼吸、共命运，始终与时代同步伐、共频振，走出了一条从“办人民满意的合格本科院校”，到“建设高水平财经类教学型大学”，再到“全面建设特色鲜明高水平财经大学”的奋斗之路。
Those who pick up the fruit will think of the trees, and those who drink the spring water cherish its source. Twenty years ago, with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the local Government of Hubei Province, the former Hubei Commercial College, Wuhan Financial College and Hubei Provincial Planning and Management Cadre College joined hands to establish Hubei University of Economics in line with the general trend of national higher education reform and development. Since then, there has been a new member of China's higher learning institutions. In retrospect, the predecessor ofHubei University of Economics has gone through a century of extraordinary years in Jingchu. Hubei Commercial College originated from Hubei commercial middle school. This new school, which was initiated by ZhangZhidong, an important minister in the late Qing Dynasty in 1907, was born at the time of national crisis. It is one of the earliest schools to open modern commercial education in China; Wuhan Financial College inherits the red gene of Zhongzhou Farmers' Bank School. It was founded when the nation was striving. After the founding of new China, as an institution subordinate to the central bank, it became a cradle for training financial talents; Hubei Planning and Management Cadre College, built in the early stage of reform and opening up, was the only cadre college in the national planning system at that time. It undertook the important task of training development and reform talents on the day of national rejuvenation. Opening the history scroll, we are engraved with the enterprising spirit of arduous journey and blue thread and the glorious tradition of serving the country through practical lessons. This tradition is continuous and deeply rooted in the blood of the scholars; This spirit, which has been renewed for a long time, can be seen in the actions of the scholars. It has always shared the same breath and destiny with the country and the nation, and always kept pace with the times. It has embarked on a road of struggle from running a qualified undergraduate college to the satisfaction of the people, to building a high-level teaching university of finance and economics, and then to building a high-level university of finance and economics with distinctive characteristics in an all-round way.
看似寻常最奇崛，成如容易却艰辛。作为经院建设的参与者、见证人，当年我自己就在新校区建成后的万人大搬迁的队伍之中，那延绵20多公里的搬家车队，铺满操场的千余打包袋，承载着经院人对新校园、新大学的美好期待，我们奔向藏龙岛，也奔向了一个充满无限可能的未来。我也亲身参加过迎接教育部本科教学水平合格评估的雨中誓师，那万众一心的豪情，响彻云霄的誓言，喊出的不仅是对胜利的渴望，更是一个怒放的新生命向世界表达的倔强。这里是我事业开始的地方，也是我的精神原乡。去年，正是带着对经院的这份眷恋之情、反哺之意，我重回学校，因而更加能够深切感受到20年来她所经历的脱胎蝶变、跨越发展。当年碗口大的小树苗，如今长成大树，浓荫蔽日；当年曾是湖滩荒林的校园，如今姹紫嫣红，书声琅琅。
It seems to be the most unusual, but it is as easy as it is hard. As a participant and witness in the construction of the university, I was among the thousands people who moved after the completion of the new campus. The moving team stretching more than 20 kilometers and more than 1000 bags covered the playground, carrying the wonderful expectations of the Academy people for the new campus and the new university, we rushed to Canglong island and a future full of infinite possibilities. I have also personally participated in the oath in the rain to meet the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching level of the Ministry of education. The pride of unity and the resounding oath shout out not only the desire for victory, but also the stubbornness of a new life in full bloom to the world. This is where I started my career and my spiritual hometown. Last year, I returned to school with the feeling of nostalgia and nurturing for the scholasticism. Therefore, I can deeply feel the transformation and leapfrog development she has experienced in the past 20 years. In those days, the small saplings with big bowl mouths have grown into big trees, with thick shadows blocking out the sun; In those days, the campus was once a desolate forest on the lake beach. Now it is colorful and the sound of books is loud.
二十年来，我们坚持以人为本，努力为学生创造良好的学习生活条件，实现了办学条件的跨越。合校之初，经院师生分处三个校区，总面积仅有357亩，局促三地，空间狭隘，条件简陋，资源紧缺，学校在办学指标“黄牌”高悬下求取生存。如今，我们一张蓝图绘到底，建成了一座人文绿色智慧的现代化高等学府：2192亩的校园内，大道如练，小径通幽；运动场上，龙腾虎跃；图书馆里，书香四溢；万物互联，数据成云。学校入选中西部高校基础能力建设工程、教育强国推进工程支持高校，获评省级生态式园林学校，进入最美大学50强。
Over the past 20 years, we have adhered to the student-oriented principle, worked hard to create good learning and living conditions for students, and achieved a leap in school running conditions. At the beginning of the new combined university, the teachers and students of the university were divided into three campuses, with a total area of only 357 mu. The three areas were cramped, with narrow space, poor conditions and scarce resources. The school sought to survive under the yellow card of the school running index. Now, we have drawn a blueprint to the end and built a modern university of humanities, green and wisdom: within the 2192 Mu campus, the roads are as smooth as practice and the paths are quiet; the playground is full of energetic people. The library is full of books. Everything is interconnected and data becomes cloud. The university has been selected as one of the universities supported by the basic capacity building project of colleges and universities in the central and western regions and the promotion project of an educational power. It has been rated as a Provincial Ecological Garden School and has entered the top 50 most beautiful universities.
二十年来，我们坚持追求卓越，不断奋进新目标，实现了办学层次的跨越。从合校之初专科、本科混办，到以良好成绩通过教育部本科教学水平评估、高质量通过教育部本科教学审核评估；从当年一所二本学校，到主干专业进入湖北省本科第一批次招生，本科理工类、文史类录取分数线稳居省属高校前列；从开办服务国家特殊需求人才培养项目专业硕士点到获批硕士学位授予单位，独立举办研究生教育；从与兄弟院校合作联合培养博士研究生，到一批教授超越学校平台成为合作博导。几代经院人接续奋斗，追梦不止，实现了从办本科到有硕点并筹划升博点的历史跨越。
Over the past 20 years, we have adhered to the pursuit of excellence, constantly strive for new goals, and achieved a leap in the level of running a school. At the beginning, the profession education course and undergraduate courses were run together, and passed the undergraduate teaching level evaluation of the MOE with good results and the undergraduate teaching audit and evaluation of the MOE with high quality; From one and two universities in that year to the first batch of undergraduate enrollment in Hubei Province for major majors, the admission scores of undergraduate science and engineering and literature and history rank firmly in the forefront of provincial universities; From the establishment of professional master's programs serving the special needs of the country to the approved master's degree awarding units, it independently holds graduate education; From cooperating with brother universities to jointly train doctoral students, to a group of professors who go beyond the university platform to become cooperative doctoral tutors. Generations of faculty have made continuous efforts to pursue their dreams, realizing the historical leap from running an undergraduate course to having a master's degree and planning to upgrade to a doctoral degree.
二十年来，我们坚持内涵发展，始终注重培根固本，壮大自我，实现了办学水平的跨越。专任教师从当年440人、24位教授、7位博士，发展到现在的1070人、139位教授、556位博士，博士化率达到52%，位居省属高校前列。以经管法为主干、工文理教艺协调发展的学科专业体系更趋完善，近半数本科专业获批国家一流、省一流专业。会计专硕十年建设，在全国247个培养单位中名列前茅。国家社科、国家自科和教育部人文社科基金项目逐年增加，立项数位居省属高校前列。碳排放权交易研究中心获批省部共建协同创新中心，是全国唯一的碳排放权交易领域省部中心，也是全省唯一的人文社科类省部中心。一批研究成果直接转化为国家和地方政策法律、进入政府的规划和决策。迄今为湖北乃至全国输送了十余万“三有三实”人才，他们“上手快、肯吃苦、留得住、用得好”，获得社会普遍赞誉。学校在校友排行榜中二十年间前进了130多位。经院已成为学生有感情、教师有归属、社会有认可、发展有成就的读书、教书、著书的精神家园。
Over the past 20 years, we have adhered to the connotation development, always paid attention to cultivating roots, strengthening ourselves, and achieved a leap in the level of running a school. The number of full-time teachers has grown from 440, 24 professors and 7 doctors at that time to 1070, 139 professors and 556 doctors at present. The doctoral rate has reached 52%, ranking in the forefront of provincial universities. The discipline and specialty system with economic management and law as the backbone and the coordinated development of engineering, arts, science, education and art has become more perfect. Nearly half of the undergraduate majors have been approved as national first-class and provincial first-class majors. The ten-year construction of accounting majors and masters ranks first among 247 training units in China. National Social Science, National Science and Humanities and social science fund projects of the Ministry of education have increased year by year, and the number of projects approved ranks in the forefront of provincial universities. The Carbon Emission Trading Research Center has been approved as a collaborative innovation center jointly built by provinces and ministries. It is the only provincial and ministerial center in the field of carbon emission trading in China and the only provincial and ministerial center in Humanities and Social Sciences in the province. A number of research results are directly translated into national and local policies and laws, and into government planning and decision-making. So far, more than ten thousand talents have been sent to Hubei and even the whole country. They are quick to learn, willing to endure hardship, able to stay and use well, and have won widespread praise from the society. The school has advanced by more than 130 in the past 20 years in the alumni list. The school has become a spiritual home for students to read, teach and write books with feelings, teachers' belonging, social recognition and achievements.
一路走来，我们留下的每串脚印都清晰可见，我们迈出的每个步伐都有汗水浸润。细数这些具有里程碑意义的变化，无疑，它们得力于国家高等教育体制改革的时代洪流，得力于教育部等国家部委和省、市、区党委政府的关心支持，得力于兄弟院校的鼎力相助，得力于广大校友和社会各界的八方支援，得力于几代经院人的自强勇毅、艰苦创业！
In these years, every trail we left was clearly visible, and every step we took was soaked with sweat. Counting these landmark changes, it is no doubt that they have benefited from the times' torrent of the reform of the national higher education system, the care and support of the Ministry of education and other national ministries and commissions, provincial, municipal and district party committees and governments, the great help of brother colleges, the support of the majority of alumni and all sectors of society, and the self-reliance, courage and hard work of generations of scholars!
有为当下、可期未来。对历史最好的纪念就是创造新的历史；对跨越最高的致敬，就是实现新的跨越。在去年十月召开的学校第四次党代会上，我们共同擘画了经院未来发展的新蓝图，那就是：以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导，全面贯彻党的教育方针，加强党对学校工作的全面领导，落实立德树人根本任务，推动学校事业高成长高质量发展，奋力推进“学院升大学”“硕点升博点”的“双升”战略，实施“三步走”节点任务，全面建设特色鲜明的高水平财经大学，从此，学校迈上了实现更新跨越的全新征程。

实现新的跨越，我们要抓纲提要，更好地坚守立德树人的办学之魂。只有培养出一流人才的高校，才能够成为一流大学。我们要胸怀“国之大者”，牢记“为党育人、为国育才”初心使命，把以学生为中心、为学生提供更高质量学习经历的要求贯穿教育教学始终，让党建引领、立德树人的理念无时不有，让润物无声、春风化雨的思政教育无处不在，让党群师生、教职员工无不尽责，全过程、全方位培养更多仰望星空、脚踏实地，堪当民族复兴大任的时代新人！

实现新的跨越，我们要夯实根底，更牢地坚持学科为基的办学之理。学科是办学的根基，是高校核心竞争力的最终体现。要着力厚植经院学科特色、强化学科优势，打造应用经济学学科高峰，构筑工商管理学科高原，建强法学优势特色学科，大力培育发展新工科，促进文理教艺多学科整体提升。要着力产出更多具有显示度、响应度、贡献度的学科成果，让湖北经济学院也能在“双一流”的国家赛道上跑出地方能量、经院速度！
