Donation Ceremony held in Coin Exhibition Centre in the university

A ceremony in which ancient coins and notes were donated to Hubei University of Economics held in the Coin Exhibition Centre in the university, on May 5. President Lv Zhongmei and leaders coming from administrative offices and faculties attended the donation ceremony.

The precious collections were donated by Catherine Lions, the Professor in Umea University (Sweden), and her families. The donations were mostly pre-euro coins and came from more than 20 countries. With more than 80 years of history, the collection of coins will provide teachers and students in our university with great opportunities and first-hand experience in understanding the development of currency and finance in Europe.

President Lv presented Professor Catherine with a Donation Certificate and expressed her sincere gratefulness to Professor Catherine and her family’s donation as well as her contribution to our teachers and students. Meanwhile, President Lv proposed the prospect to further strengthen the cooperation between two sides and welcomed Professor Catherine and her families to visit China again in the future.
