On March 11th, the tree planting activity was held in school with the theme of “Planting seeds of hope, keeping gratitude”. The Party Secretary Wen Xingsheng, Deputy Party Secretary Liu Dahong, Vice Presidents Lu Xiaocheng, Wu Xianfu, Chen Xiangjun, Party Standing Committee member Zhang Yilin attended, and Yan Xiaoyan, Vice Chairman of the Merchants Bank Wuhan Branch were also invited to the activity. He Huigang presided over this event.

Representatives of faculty and students from various schools, and new employees of Merchants Bank Wuhan Branch participated in the tree planting. A total of 300 Ginkgo biloba trees were planted, 100 of which were donated by schools and social organizations.

Wu Xianfu pointed out in his speech that the tree planting activity is an important measure to build the atmosphere of the Great Beauty School and to beautify the campus environment. It is necessary to implement the concept of green development in order to gather alumni and build a beautiful campus. He called on everyone to work together to make the school even better.

Yan Xiaoyan said that afforestation is the great cause of beautifying the environment, protecting the ecology, and benefiting the present and the future, which is everyone’s responsibility. She expressed gratitude to our school for sending excellent graduates to China Merchants Bank and hopes to maintain close cooperation with our school in the future in cultivating more excellent talents.

Xu Xiaohui, a representative of the 2018 graduates, said, “It takes a long period of time for tree to grow up, so does people.” He expressed his gratitude to our university for the careful cultivation. He said he would promote our school’s motto by working hard and making more contributions to the society. He wished that the Hubei University of Economics would be better and better, and send more great talent to the world.
